Essay on Unemployment :-'Unemployment' means lack of work for those capable and willing to work. The problem of unemployment has increased progressively in the country, which has started to seem impossible for the government to control.

More than 60 percent of India's population lives in villages. Before the British rule, the condition of village industries in India was good. The reason for the destruction of village industries was that the British started taking raw materials from India and preparing them in their factories and sending them for use in India. In this way, their country started achieving happiness and prosperity and we became financially crippled due to being victims of exploitation and with this innumerable artisans in the country had to lose their livelihood. The current education system is the main cause of unemployment. The British had started this education system so that they could get some educated clerks through it. It is a matter of regret that the same education system could not produce anything till today except the crowd of clerks. Today's youth consider themselves stubborn in doing hand work. The ever-increasing population of the country is the main reason for unemployment. The jobs provided by the government become negligible in the face of the rapidly growing population.

Proper development of agriculture is necessary to remove the unemployment of the country. For this, training of farmers, improved seeds, better manure and agricultural machinery and expansion of irrigation facilities is necessary. It is a matter of happiness that our government is making efforts in this direction and we have made significant progress in the field of agriculture. Industrial development of the country is also necessary for the prevention of unemployment. Our country has immense potential for agricultural and industrial production. The most interesting fact about India is that its soil is rich but its inhabitants are poor.

To tackle the problem of unemployment in the country, radical changes have to be made in the education system. Our education should be vocational. Such education will help in making new people self-reliant by developing work-power and this will also inculcate the spirit of enterprise in them. To combat the problem of unemployment, it is necessary to stop the increasing population, otherwise all the plans will fail.

It is necessary that the government adopts a comprehensive and well thought out employment policy for the entire nation and the entire economy should be made employment oriented. For this, productive tendencies should be encouraged in the government and private sectors in the country.

The problem of unemployment is actually a serious and complex problem, for which many measures are needed to solve it. From the various schemes that are coming out, it is hoped that gradually this problem will be solved. The way the family planning program has been adopted by today's educated class, the number of unemployed will not be able to increase uncontrollably. Due to the liberal import-export policy of the government, many unemployed youth have got new employment opportunities.
